Harmar AL580-HDX Heavy Duty Power Wheelchair Lift

This Harmar AL580-HDX Heavy Duty Power Wheelchair lift is in like new condition and was only used for a few months! The AL580-HDX is designed to lift and transport heavy mid-wheel power chairs with wheel sizes from 10″ – 14″ (25.4 cm – 35.6 cm). Have confidence that your mobility device is secure using 4-Q’Straint Retractors coupled with a Hold-Down Arm. Position your power chair on the platform, secure the retractors and power up the lift to transport height.

The Stars-N-Stripes platform guards against road debris and an optional Swing-Away provides access to your vehicle’s cargo area when not in use. The AL580-HDX is compatible with a variety of SUV’s, Trucks, and Crossovers.

Q: Can I use the same lift for my chair and scooter?

A: You can use an AL300 to lift both a scooter and a chair.

Q: Is there any maintenance required for lifts?

A: The only maintenance needed is WD40 on all moving parts once every few months. 

Q: How do I know which lift to get for my chair or scooter?

A: Talk to a technician about which lift is right for you and your power chair or scooter. You can also use Harmar’s Compatibility Calculator on Harmar’s website for a more detailed comparison and lift compatibility check.  

Q: Can the lift be powered by my existing trailer plug?

A: No, lifts must be powered by a separate electrical harness that attaches directly to the car battery.

Q: Will I still be able to use my backup camera?

A: If you’re getting an outside lift that sits on the back of your vehicle then the camera will be obstructed.

Q: Can I use the swing-away feature while my chair or scooter is still on the lift?

A: You should not swing your lift away while the chair is still on it. It will put too much pressure on the swing away.

Q: What kind of hitch do I need on my vehicle to support the lift?

A: You will either need a Class 3 or Class 2 hitch.
