What type of mobility device is right for me?
Mobility Scooters are equipped with a handlebar/tiller feature that is used to drive the device. A tiller can be adjusted to each user but if you have limited arm strength or it would be uncomfortable to have your arms outstretched operating the scooter.

A Power Chair is operated with a joystick that is comfortably located at the end of the chair's arm. You operate a power chair by small movements of the joystick, side-to-side or front to back. If you have limited fine motor skills operating a power wheelchair may be challenging.
What is the difference between a travel and non-travel unit?
A travel scooter can be quickly disassembled into sections and is designed to be hand-loaded into a vehicle. That said, the weight of each section and one’s ability to handle and lift that weight, should be considered.

Full Size or non-travel units have many other benefits such as higher ground clearances, faster speeds and longer battery ranges just to name a few. However, a vehicle lift or ramp is required to transport these units.

We Focus On Delivering Quality Products: Buy Wheelchair Lifts from Marc’s Mobility

Marc's Mobility features a big selection of power chair lifts. The elderly, disabled, and those just limited on movement can now have access to affordable and discounted heavy-duty mobility chairs. Our goal is to collect preowned and semi-used power wheelchair lifts and refurbish them to brand-new.

This gives us the ability to cut prices and provide them to our customers at affordable rates. We’re a family owned business operating since 1995, and we want to continue providing our customers with excellent options and service. So, where can you find motorized wheelchair lifts near you at discounted prices?

Harmar Mobility Power Chair Scooter Lifts

Harmar Lifts build hitch mounted wheelchair and scooter lifts designed for vans, SUV’s, and trucks. Compatibility is limited by the type of mobility lift you need, weight capacities, and finding the appropriate power chair carrier for the wheelchair or scooter. Some wheelchair carriers for the back of a vehicle only work outside or inside, while others can do both. The weight capacity will include the person in the chair as well as the wheelchair itself. Lastly, you’ll need to consider the dimensions and size of the mobility scooter carriers for cars, trucks, and for pickup trucks.

Harmar is one of the major distributors of power chair scooters for trucks and other electric wheelchair lifts. Their electric seat lift and manual wheelchair lifts are known for being built with high-quality material and designed to last. One of the biggest drawbacks of investing in an electric wheelchair lift is that you’ll have to have exteriors compatible for SUV or other vehicles. However, Harmar features multiple types of mobility scooter for SUV lifts which can be used with a wide selection of cars.

Choosing the Right Lift

The make and model of your car will highly determine if the wheelchair trailer will work or not. It’s important to check with our team to see if your vehicle is compatible with the trunk lift. Most car ramp lifts can be used with most vehicles, but it’s always best to check suitability to your car before you buy. You wouldn’t want to be stuck with an invalid hitch carrier that couldn’t be used.

Why Pick Our Company When It Comes to Wheelchair Lifts?

Unlike retail stores, we focus on helping you locate a wheelchair rack that will work for your car. Others may refer you to the manufacturer or guess if the chair carrier will work for you. But with us, you can contact our store, and we will get an expert to discuss your options with you comprehensively. If there’s a certain hydraulic lift that you’re looking for, we’ll do our best to find it for you.

What Can We Offer You?

We provide customer support like no other business. Our family-owned store believes that everyone has the right to get affordable mobility equipment. The prices for retail markets are inflated and make it hard for some to get the scooter transports they need.

We’re here to clarify and provide assistance for your mobility needs. Take a look below for some of the common questions we receive from our customers that we’ve compiled in a brief Q&A section below:

Q: Can I use the same lift for my chair and scooter?
A: You can use an AL300 to lift both a scooter and a chair.

Q: Is there any maintenance required for lifts?
A: The only maintenance needed is WD40 on all moving parts once every few months.

Q: How do I know which lift to get for my chair or scooter?
A: Talk to a technician about which lift is right for you and your power chair or scooter. You can also use Harmar’s Compatibility Calculator on Harmar’s website for a more detailed comparison and lift compatibility check.

Q: Can the lift be powered by my existing trailer plug?
A: No, lifts must be powered by a separate electrical harness that attaches directly to the car battery.

Q: Will I still be able to use my backup camera?
A: If you’re getting an outside lift that sits on the back of your vehicle then the camera will be obstructed.

Q: Can I use the swing-away feature while my chair or scooter is still on the lift?
A: You should not swing your lift away while the chair is still on it. It will put too much pressure on the swing away.

Q: What kind of hitch do I need on my vehicle to support the lift?
A: You will either need a Class 3 or Class 2 hitch.
