If you`re looking to get to your destination faster, there are several innovative mobility device options built with state of the art technology that can help you get to your destination safely and with ease.

Typically, most power chairs range between 3-5 mph and are great for navigating around neighborhoods or indoors. But if you are in search of an electric wheelchair that has more exceptional speed and high-performance and battery life capabilities, you can choose from a variety of trusted mobility brands that maintain a navigation speed of 10 mph or less. According to Consumer Reports, the fastest electric wheelchairs can go up to 8-10 miles per hour.

You can browse Marc`s Mobility to find high-speed power wheelchairs with tilt and lift capabilities and exceptional turning capabilities. Keep in mind that faster power wheelchairs are intended for individuals who envision themselves using it for sports or off-terrain roads, and might not be suited for everyday use.

What to Consider When Purchasing Fast Power Wheelchairs

When considering speed, there are several factors that are involved. This includes a mobility device`s weight capacity, battery life, whether the power wheelchair is in new or old condition, as well as the type of tires it has, or whether the mobility device needs a tire pressure check to maintain its optimal speed.

For users who envision spending more time outdoors and wish to invest in motorized wheelchairs with greater speeds, the Q-Logic 3 drive profiles 3, 4, and 5 can achieve faster speeds for outdoor driving, according to Quantum. For greater speed, consider the Q6 Edge Z power chair with its 8mph high-speed motor package.

Lastly, purchasing a faster power wheelchair can dramatically change your driving experience and make things easier. Before investing in one, it`s important to assess and figure out your individual needs.

Are you looking for a high-performance power wheelchair with greater speed for the outdoors, or are you content with reduced speeds for safety purposes? We want you to feel comfortable with your decision and use your mobility device with ease and confidence.

Additional features to consider include the electric power wheelchair`s turning capabilities, maximum range and speed, and whether it is easily transportable for long trips or lightweight for storage. The joystick navigation control, safety flags, seat covering, and legroom features are also other elements to consider.

Typically, new electric wheelchairs can go from anywhere between $1,200 to over $10,000, according to Consumer Reports. However, you can also find great discounts and deals on used manual or electric power chairs or consider renting a mobility device if you plan to take a vacation and visit different cities.

Marc’s Mobility was created by my Father Marc in 1995 when I was 7 years old. I have grown up in and around this industry and from an early age would clean, drive and repair these units with Marc. I graduated high school in 2006 and headed to Gainesville, FL to get a Business degree at the University of Florida. Once graduated, I moved back to Lakeland FL to help my father grow the business to what it is today.

I have been full-time in this industry for almost 12 years as of 2022. When I graduated college the company was a small 3 member operation. At the beginning, it was my primary role to inspect, repair, and prepare units for shipping all across the US. As we have grown to over a 10 man operation, I now oversee all aspects of the business but understand each and every role here at Marc’s Mobility. I believe what makes us successful is we do our best to treat everyone we interact with as if they were family.
